A LEGACY OF TALENT
Lincoln High School’s long legacy of musical talent stretches back to the academic year of 1911-1912. The LHS band was so popular among students that it incorporated more than half of the student body, and so popular outside of the school that it received more performance requests than the students could manage. Our commitment to excellent music performance earned the LHS Marching Band an invitation to Hawaii to play in the ceremonies of the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Our students’ voices have even been heard in other countries; in 2024, our choir performed across Europe!
In addition to music, LHS produces two plays during each academic school year, performed on campus in our specially-built theater building. Our students have won silver and bronze awards at the Lenaea Theater Festival, and a recent graduate won the Elly Award for best actor.
In 2021, Lincoln High School was honored as a California Exemplary Arts Education Program for our work with the physical, visual, and performing arts programs! We were selected after a competitive process that included schools from across the state! See the press release here!
