Parental Involvement Opportunities

School Site Council (SSC)

School Site Councils (SSCs) in California exist to ensure that schools engage parents, teachers, and staff in the decision-making process regarding the use of state and federal funds. Their primary role is to develop, review, and update the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), which outlines how funds will support specific academic goals to improve student outcomes.

As a Title 1 School, our Site Council is composed of parents, staff, and students.  Parents and staff are nominated and elected by their peers to serve on the SSC. Please contact asandor@wpusd.org with any questions.
